Key Roles

Hello & Welcome,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!!  This year I will be teaching all 4 core subjects - math, science, language arts, and social studies in grade 7. In addition to being a grade 7 homeroom teacher, I am also teaching 2 grade 7 complimentary classes each semester. I am very excited; this will be a fun and exciting year at Fox Run School.

Our class will be working together in small groups, large groups, and independently to learn new concepts in all core subject areas. In grade 7 Social Studies, we will immerse ourselves into Canadian history, pre and post Confederation. Our math curriculum
examines, number theory, fractions, decimals, integers, and word problems. Science will be an exciting subject investigating ecosystems, structures, plants, and heat and temperature. In Language Arts we will focus on developing literacy through a diverse range of strategies. We will read and discuss various novels, study poetry, explore research/writing and much, much, more….

I live west of Eckville on a farm with my 3 sons, 3 dogs, and 3 cats! Two of my sons are here at Fox Run (one is in grade 8 and the other is also in grade 7 this year!!), and my youngest son is attending Beacon Hill Elementary. I am sure I will have some stories to share with you throughout the year about our adventures.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, skiing, hiking, camping, and exploring our wonderful Alberta mountains, and of course….teaching middle school students!
If you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to send me an email or phone the school.
